Work Session Meeting
Roll Call – Mayor Lattimore, Councilors Jacobs, McNabb, Hunter and Dempsey; Present.
Staff Members Present – John Salomone, City Manager; Thomas Leone, Corporation Counsel; Debra McCormick, City Clerk; Lisa Green, Comptroller; Nancy Hussey, Assistant Corporation Counsel; Michele McNabb, Deputy Clerk
All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
Presentations and Proclamations –
Mayor Lattimore introduced Yvonne Williams and Bill Williams owners of Empire Tax Systems. Mr. And Mrs. Williams were dressed as Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam, the Mayor asked them to speak about their new business.
The Mayor asked that the agenda be changed so that the Financial Report could be done first.
Lisa Green, Comptroller, introduced Patrick Jordan and Bob Gauthier of Ciaschi, Dietershagen, Little and Michelson. Mr. Jordan complimented City Staff, especially Bea O’Hora and Lisa Green on the work they did and presented the audit report to Council. Council discussed.
Mayor Lattimore introduced John Montone. Mr. Montone introduced Carm Branca, President of New Visions. Mr. Branca distributed a handout and presented Council with information on his business, which he presented as an option to Adelphia Cable systems. Council asked several questions and discussed.
Presentations of Petitions and Communications – The Clerk read.
Ordinances – First Read. The City Clerk read Ordinance #1 of 2005 authorizing amendment to the Code of the City Auburn, Chapter 22, Section 22-4-Designation of Emergency Interim Successors.
Mayor Lattimore questioned this ordinance and commented on the possibility that it was in conflict with the City Charter.

Other Business –
Councilor Jacobs asked that staff check manholes on West Genesee St.
Mayor Lattimore asked for an update on the crow project. The City Manager responded.
Councilor Hunter reported that he attended the Annual Auburn Community Baseball meeting and 4 officers were re-elected. He reported that ACB Hot Stove Dinner would be held at the Sunset on February 2, 2005.
Mayor Lattimore asked Corporation Counsel if there were any minutes of Executive Session meetings. Mr. Leone responded that there are not, because they are not required unless action is taken. Mayor Lattimore asked if there were any consequences if someone discussed Executive Session business outside of the meeting. Mr. Leone responded that he did not believe so, but would research the question for a firm answer.
